Why do you RP?: I roleplay because I enjoy storytelling, that’s my passion in life and it has led to me becoming a writer. Even since I was young, I could imagine worlds of my own creation in my head, and I would feel a desire to bring this word to life through writing. I used to wonder after reading books and watching movies, “what happens next?” Oftentimes, I would never find out.
Roleplaying though, allows for many of those questions to be resolved, at least in regards to the stories you roleplay, because it consists of the ability to create and shape convincing character concepts and personalities, and bringing these characters to life in a fictional world. I find roleplaying stimulating as it is a creative outlet by which I can explore complex concepts and ideas involving, but not limited to politics, philosophy, ethics, human relationships, etc.
The best part about roleplaying is the story doesn't have to end. This is what I love most about roleplaying, for as long as we keep writing, the overarching story continues, and this idea of continuity within a collective canon is fantastically fun. Giving life (in the metaphorical sense) to a creation, is amazing, and when you see all the little things knit together into something amazing, I don't want to see that end, and so, I don't let it! That’s why I’ve been doing it for roughly the past twenty years, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The enjoyment I gain from bringing characters to life through writing is just too great.
GMing/OP experience? (Y/N): Y
